APMA Information on Dr. Comfort Civil Settlement

Whistle Blowers Cash In on Dr. Comfort Health Care Fraud
Posted by: | CommentsAs we stated before, the Dr. Comfort founder has agreed to plead guilty of mail fraud and agreed to pay a a $27 million civil fine related to the company’s improper Medicare reimbursements. Federal prosecutors are to recommend him to serve an 18 month sentence in prison. What we didn’t tell you about was how this story came to be. You see, two whistle blowers and former employees turned in Mr. Kanter and have now collected monies in the recovery effort.
